Ah!! Been wanting to rant about this for long. But work kept me away all the while. Well… I watched Partner a couple of weekends back. And I have to say I’m heart broken. I’m not sure as to what was on DD’s* mind when he decided to brutally murder The Hitch. He’s neither kept the movie’s sanity nor the essence in his effort to replicate the master piece. Yes, The Hitch is a master piece coz it has projected love in a different way altogether. And wat did Partner do?? Ruin the script completely. Now now… since when did we Indians start kissing on our first or second date?? I dunno of any couple kissing even after they’re engaged for more than a couple of months. Why couldn’t it have been changed to suit the Indian audience?? IMO the movie has neither the spice nor the romance that Hitch had. And the comedy, I’d probably have liked it if The Hitch had not been the central idea of the movie.
