Kal Ho Na Ho
Was watching Kal Ho Na Ho, not for the umpteenth time but yeah I’ve lost count. This time the movie did not seem the funny, loving, etc kinda movie. Instead I saw faces that I’d missed in my previous watches. This time I saw love and I saw pain in it. I saw how you just can’t stop yourself from falling in love. I saw how your heart can fail you (both physically and … otherwise.) I saw how much courage it takes to say “I don’t love you” to that person whom you do love, the most. I saw how difficult it is to be able to let that person be loved by someone else, for longer than you lived. Love isn’t all that er… beautiful. And this particular line from a Kannada song caught my attention recently whose meaning I can’t translate with the same impact retained. But this is what it wanted to convey, “It’s easiest only the moment you are in love.”
