PotterMania

Read a lot about the Harry Potter - Half Blood Prince lately?? If you think what the need for all the hype is or if you aren't fond of HP then I guess you should be skipping this post, coz you might think I'm crazy.
Well... to an extent I am crazy about the Potter series. And the extent is, I read the first four, of the series, during my 7th semester theory exams (Engineering. Yeah!! I'm an engineering graduate.) We have a break, usually a day or two, between each exam. I guess I had 6 theory exams for the semester. My brother had got the first of the series from the school library a week before my firsrt exam.
My (ex-)school library has a good collection of fiction for kids. It is where I got my reading habit from. Earlier I used to prefer reading fiction alone. These days I have expanded my reading interests to Philosophy, Indian Economy etc.
Not digressing further, I read the first book, HP and The Philosopher's Stone. I liked it, a lot. Then bro got the second in the series, HP and The Chamber of Secrets. I started that as soon as I'd come back after my second exam. Liked this even more. Then read the third one during the prep for the fourth and fifth exams. For the last exam we were given a break of 7 days. Of these seven days I spent 3 days reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I loved the book. It's like entering into a new world, a world of fantasy.
I'd like to repeat what many reviewers have said, "Though Rowling's writing is a fiction, she has the art of making it sound very realistic, by including us, the Muggles into it. It isn't jus for kids; even we adults enjoy reading it".
I never wanted to come out of this wonderful world. The fifth in the series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, I bought the book and within a few days got the written test call from the company I'm presently working for. I'd not want to say this but it was kinda coincidence, an exam and another HP to be read, of which I was keen on reading the book than the prep. Ultimately I wasn't prepared for the test. (Un)Fortunately my glasses broke a couple of days before the test and I couldn't prepare for it at all. But yes got all the time and excuse to read Potter :). You might be wondering how I could read without my glasses. Well... where there's a will there's a way ;). Had to struggle a li'l, but it was worth. Luckily I got another test call after a month’s time from the same Co. I cleared the test and am working for it now.
These days I'm preparing for CAT (Common Admission Test, test conducted for entry into the Indian Institute of Management). And... my roomie has got the new, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I hope I get to read it soon. Also hope I'm able to crack CAT. A li'l superstitious :D

You did not specify your marks in the 7th Sem exams, though I presume that they must be good. And abt HP6, you shoudl postpone it till a day or two before CAT :-)
