Paav Bhaaji Weekend

Last weekend was Paav bhaaji weekend coz I had it for dinner both the days. I've always liked it since I was a child. Now I love it, especially the way my roomie prepares. I'm sure I wouldn’t' mind eating it every day, but only once. I have the tendency to get bored very soon.
Last night after the preparation was done I started setting up the plates. My roomie went to close the door. I was engrossed in the TV, I was watching it's reflection in the mirror, when I heard my roomie squeal and run backwards. I turned back to have a look at what made her do so. And the first thought that struck me was "LIZARD!!!" We have quite a number of baby lizards at the front door coz of the coconut tree planted right in front of the door.
Let me make it very clear that I ain't scared of lizards, just that I can't stand the sight of one. My reflexes made me take a quick step, closer to the bed. Then I noticed her stamping at it. I was shocked, dumbstruck, numb and what not at the thought that she was stamping it. There I take another step forward. The third one wouldn't be a step but a leap on to my bed when she finally stopped stamping the thing. I looked at it. But I was so blinded with the thought of a lizard that I couldn't recognize the creature. I was insanely trying to figure out its limbs and tail. And when I could find any I concluded that she'd disfigured the thing. The thought of the next step (jump on to the bed was still on my mind.) I finally couldn't keep it to myself and asked her, "Kya tha?" She replied, "Cockroach".
"Uh!! cockroaches ke liye scream nahi karte. You scared the life out of me." “And it took mine”, was her reply.
This was when I realized why I wasn't able to spot the limbs and tail of a lizard.
