Our Venture...
Sunday evening my roomie and me had nothing to do. After watching Veer-Zaara, on her demand (she is a die hard fan of Shah Rukh Khan), we decided we'd go to the nearby park. It was almost 6pm by the time we left our room. We sat in the park till 7:45. Then decided to have dinner at a not so often visited mess. While we were walking back we saw a board 'Andhra Mess'. My roomie cannot do without rice so she was very happy at the thought of getting to have, kinda, home-made food. We stepped into the mess. Saw two guys were having their dinner. We were a little uncomfortable when all the servers started looking at us as we stepped in. My roomie said, "All guys, should we enter?". I replied back, "You questioning me now? We've already entered. The board says 'Andhra Mess' but no where mentions 'Guys only'. Now go and talk to them in Telugu (Official language of Andhra Pradesh.)" We ordered for dinner. Dinner tasted good and we were pleased to have found a new place. The mess is in the basement of a building. We saw one of the guys finish his dinner and go upstairs. We were finding it hard to control our laughter coz we got the hint that though not mentioned, this mess was meant for guys. We finished eating pretending as though everything was normal. Though we were aware that people were looking at us in not so normal ways. I mean, the servers were actually surprised to see girls enter, sit casually and have a meal. While paying the bill my roomie asked the owner, "Do girls come here?" His answer was a yes, but his body language said none had come so far. He also mentioned that the floors above were Gents PG. I guess not many girls are as adventurous or actually as ___ (whatever) as us.

He will be waiting every Sunday evenings for you girls :-) He must have even told stories about girls visiting his mess to people!
Well... he too needs publicity.
May be he should take snaps and put it prominently for display. May be on the signboard of the shop itself. That way he can get more female customers :-)
I don't think that would be necessary. Word of mouth can also work fine.
